Dr. Bloch is the Engineering Librarian at the University of Louisville after 13 years of experience in K-12 library and STEM education. She completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science and first masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a Library Science concentration at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN. While teaching in a private local high school, Kristina pursued her EdS in Instructional Leadership & School Administration. She then moved to the large, local public school system and taught at the elementary level serving in various leadership roles such as the school technology coordinator, walk through team member, and instructional leadership team member. During this time, Kristina was also the recipient of the 2018 JCASL Library Media Specialist of the Year, 2017 InnovatED Award, and presenter at various conferences including AASL, KySTE, and various JCPS PD sessions. She then moved to JCPS Central Office as the Instructional Lead Librarian before moving to build a new library at a local private school. Kristina completed her EdD of Education in Leadership in 2024 with her research consisting of a case study on curriculum change perceptions among teachers and administrators. In February 2024, Kristina started as the Engineering Librarian at the University of Louisville.
