As an Associate Program Director for the Combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Residency Program, I have had a multi-faceted and substantial educational leadership role. This included creation and improvement of a robust and successful board study curriculum that improved dual board pass rates to 100%.  In this role, I also crafted specialty-specific electives, participate in a national collaborative to generate a transitional care curriculum, chair the Clinical Competency Committee and co-lead our resident recruitment efforts. I also worked to create a novel Med-Peds annual rotation that focuses on personal growth and uncovering the hidden curriculum surrounding business of medicine, advocacy, medical education equity, SDOH, leadership and transitions of care. 

As the Executive Director of Louisville Lectures, a free-open access medical education platform, I have contributed to the education of internal students and residents as well as enhancing our program’s national reputation through dissemination of teaching, inter-departmental partnerships, expanding content areas and coaching residents to become educators.

In the clinical setting, I have delivered compassionate, evidence-based care while garnering consistently excellent comments from learners. I have mentored trainees at all levels through many types of scholarly activities.

My efforts in the undergraduate medical education realm have been substantial over the past eight years including: small group activities, leadership of two blocks of MS2 lectures with innovative clinician-pathologist dyad curriculum, creation of remediation workshops for clinical skills and many student-focused committees.
