Lavina Myers is an Associate Professor in the Dental Hygiene Program at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. She graduated from ULSD in 2003 and spent many years practicing dental hygiene in the private sector before earning a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida in 2009. Following her graduate studies, she served as a case manager and dental hygienist in multiple skilled nursing facilities throughout South Florida.

Currently, her primary teaching focus is dental radiology. She is also actively involved in both clinical and pre-clinical instruction, working closely with students to develop their foundational and hands-on skills. Her extensive experience in clinical practice and public health enhances her ability to prepare students for a variety of dental hygiene settings
