Leigh Anne Roden, Ed.D., CCC-SLP, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisville. With almost 15 years of experience in higher education, she is committed to preparing future professionals through engaging, practice-focused learning experiences.

Dr. Roden continues to practice in different settings across the lifespan, keeping her teaching closely connected to current clinical practice. Her professional interests include clinical education, artificial intelligence in speech-language pathology education and practice, early intervention, and professional advocacy. She is dedicated to helping students become thoughtful, skilled, and intentional clinicians through active learning, critical thinking, and real-world application.

Dr. Roden served as President of the Kentucky Speech-Language-Hearing Association during the 2024–2025 term. She is a founding member of the Kentucky Early Intervention Providers Association. Through her teaching, clinical work, and professional service, she strives to model the importance of lifelong learning, leadership, and advocacy within the profession.
