Dr. Lina Motlagh Zadeh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Disorders at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Audiology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and completed her Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati.

Her research focuses on understanding the peripheral and central auditory mechanisms that contribute to individual differences in speech perception in noise. Specific areas of interest include identifying and characterizing subclinical hearing deficits, investigating the sensory and neural effects of ototoxicity, and examining cortical processing and functional connectivity underlying speech-in-noise performance. Her work also aims to translate these findings into clinically meaningful and accessible approaches to hearing assessment, including behavioral measures and smartphone-based tools for remote and global hearing healthcare delivery.
