Lisal Folsom, MD, MS, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, and Associate Faculty Member of Internal Medicine in the Divisions of Pediatric and Adult Endocrinology at the University of Louisville, is board-certified in both adult and pediatric endocrinology and provides endocrine and diabetes care for patients of all ages. She serves as Medical Director for Adult Diabetes - Endocrinology Division of the Wendy Novak Diabetes Institute, Director of Transition in Care programs, and is the Sandlin Endowed Chair of Transition in Care. Her clinical interests include nutrition, caring for transgender patients, and easing the transition from pediatric to adult care for patients with type 1 diabetes and other chronic endocrine conditions.
