Manuel F. Medina is Professor of Latin American Literature and Film in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of Louisville, where he also directs the Latin American and Latino Studies Program. Since joining UofL in 1994, he has advanced scholarship, teaching, and community engagement around questions of literature, film, and cultural identity across the Americas. He has authored and edited multiple books and special issues, organized international conferences, and served as President of the Asociación de Ecuatorianistas since 2011. His work bridges scholarly research, teaching innovation, and community collaboration, with a strong emphasis on diversity, intercultural dialogue, and Latin American cultural production.
