As a (cultural) sport ethicist, I am broadly interested in all aspects of competitive (commercialized) sport, with a

specific emphasis on the metaphysical aspects of sport such as ethics, moral reasoning in sport, and the

socio-cultural aspects of sport. As competitive sport expands its popularity across all social and

geographical regions, creating a microcosm of our very own society. I propose such microcosm as its own

moral community, enabling members to establish their very own interpretation of moral and social values

within their community. Ethical decision-making considers the following questions: 1) What is the right

thing to do?; 2) Why is that the right thing to do?; and 3) What are the sociomoral perspectives which

support this decision? My research agenda focuses on assessing this moral community through

quantitative and qualitative research, developing an understanding of the sociomoral perspectives within

the moral community of sport. Within all sociomoral consideration, my developing research line

examines the sociocultural evolution of these communities and the structures which influence them.

Utilizing this research, I seek to develop quality curriculum which could be implemented in the classroom

as well as on the competitive field. Such curriculum has a positive influence on other psychosocial

determinants such as self-efficacy and self-esteem for sport leaders within ethical dilemmas.
