Martin Brown is a board-certified neurologist and neuromuscular medicine specialist at UofL Health with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). With more than 20 years of experience in neurology, he is recognized for his clinical leadership in neuromuscular disease management and neurodiagnostic medicine.

Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2002. He subsequently completed his neurology residency in 2006, followed by a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at Wake Forest University in 2007, where he received advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of complex neuromuscular conditions.

At UofL Health, Dr. Brown directs the ALS Clinic at the UofL Health Care Outpatient Center, providing multidisciplinary care for patients with ALS and related neuromuscular disorders. His clinical interests include peripheral neuropathies, myopathies, motor neuron diseases, and electrodiagnostic testing, with a focus on improving quality of life and long-term outcomes for patients with progressive neurologic diseases.

In addition to his outpatient clinical practice, Dr. Brown maintains affiliations with UofL Hospital and Norton Children's Hospital, contributing to both adult and pediatric neurologic care. His longstanding commitment to patient care, education, and specialized neuromuscular medicine has made him an important leader in the region’s neuroscience community.
