I am a board-certified emergency physician and a proud Cardinal, having completed medical school, residency in emergency medicine, and returning as core faculty at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Over my 19-year tenure as a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine, I have held various educational roles, including an eight-year term as Program Director. Currently, I serve as the Associate Dean for Graduate Medicine Education.

My professional interests encompass education, policy and advocacy, women’s health, and heat illness. I have served as President of the Kentucky chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Currently, I am a committee member for the ACGME Review Committee for Emergency Medicine, a member of the Board of Directors for the American Board of Emergency Medicine, an item writer for the ABEM Emergency Medicine resident in-training examination, item writer for the ABEM HALM examination, and an oral board examiner for emergency medicine.
