Dr. Michael B. Keough is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Louisville and a Neurosurgeon with UofL Health.

His main clinical focus is neurosurgical oncology, with a special interest in advanced neuromonitoring techinques to maximize safe tumor resection in eloquent brain. He also uses minimally invasive technology such as laser interstitital thermal therapy for certain indications. In addition, Dr. Keough maintains a general neurosurgery practice including disorders of function such as epilepsy and cranial nerve compression.

Dr. Keough is also the Principal Investigator of the Brain Tumor Neuroscience Laboratory, where his team studies the interaction between brain tumors and the surrounding healthy nervous system to develop new treatments aimed at prolonging both the quality and quantity of life of patients with brain tumors.
