TEACHING & MENTORING
- 08/1989-05/1994- University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. I taught undergraduate laboratory courses for (1) non-majors general (inorganic) chemistry, (2) non-majors organic chemistry, (3) first and second semester general chemistry, (4) first and second semester organic chemistry, and (5) senior level biochemical techniques; instructor of record for entry level physical sciences course addressing UG deficiencies in science and mathematics.
- 09/1994-05/2002- Texas Woman's University, Denton, TX, Department of Chemistry and Physics. I taught undergraduate courses and laboratories for (1) non-majors general (inorganic) chemistry, (2) non-majors organic chemistry, (3) first and second semester majors general chemistry, (4) non-majors biochemistry, (5) majors biochemistry, (6) instrumental chemistry focusing on UV-vis, Fluorescence, and NMR spectroscopy, and (7) two semester graduate biochemistry courses.
- 07/2004-12/2008 University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, Department of Medicine. I taught lecture and didactic course work for the Kentucky Proteomics Training Program for topics on protein chemistry including sample preparation, separation technologies, proteolysis, MS analysis and informatics analysis.
- 07/2006- current University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology. I annualy provide multiple lectures with audiences including UG, GRAD, Fellows, and junior faculty to renal grand rounds, endocrine grand rounds, NIH funded T-program lectures, and didactic leatures to basic science departments on proteomic technologies and their applications to the study of human disease.
