David (Mike) is a faculty member at the University of Louisville in the Exercise Physiology program and serves as the Human Performance Lab Director. Mike began teaching at U of L in 2004, and became a full time instructor in 2012. His current teaching focus is Lab-based Fitness Testing Methods and Fitness Prescription, as well as a continuing focus on Exercise Physiology. Additional professional experience includes personal, small group, and large group training; 4 years as an assistant cross country coach (2 state championships); publications in professional journals such as Sports Medicine and the ACSM’s Health and Fitness Journal; and serving as a content creator on various projects for the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
