TEACHING & MENTORING

Offering service courses (Fundamentals of Physics) for non-physics major (e.g. pre-med) students by emphasizing on the conceptual framework of laws of physics, underlying physical phenomena, exposing up-to-date new discoveries in physical sciences, and enabling students to correlate them with subject matters of their respective fields and understand the relevance of physics to the real world.
Offering core courses (Mechanics & Thermal Physics) for undergraduate physics majors by providing fundamentals of the subject matter, keeping students abreast of the status of the field so that they will have up-to-date knowledge of cutting-edge discoveries in the field, and encouraging students to actively involve in related research projects.
Offering core and elective courses (Quantum Mechanics & Theoretical Mechanics) for graduate physics majors by emphasizing on the development of students’ appreciation of the key elements of the subject matter through useful examples in the lecture and practice problems and introducing the relevancy of the subject matter to the current status of the field.
Supervising thesis directed PhD students and graduate/undergraduate students for their independent research studies (e.g., NSF/REU)
Serving PhD dissertation defense and PhD Candidacy defense committee
