Mirzada Kurbasic, M.D., is a pediatrician with Norton Children’s Medical Group--Novak Center. 

Dr. Kurbasic received her medical degree from the University of Sarajevo, Masters in Clinical Research degree from University of Tuzla, and completed her Pediatric Residency at the University Hospitals Tuzla and Sarajevo, and at the University of Louisville where she completed general academic pediatric fellowship as well. She joined the faculty at UofL in 1997 in the General Pediatrics Division and Division of Pediatric Global Health.

Dr. Kurbasic has over 40 years of experience, and as a global health specialist she has practiced clinical and academic pediatrics in Europe, North America and South America. She currently serves as a member of ICATCH-the International Community Access to Child Health program-at the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the mentor of Global Health SIG at the Academic Pediatric Association.
