Dr. MJ Negahdar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Louisville and serves as Manager of the MRI Research Facility. With over 15 years of expertise in medical imaging, image processing, and AI applications in healthcare, he has led or contributed to federally funded research totaling over $27 million. He collaborates extensively with industry leaders and healthcare AI startups. Dr. Negahdar holds both a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship. He is also a faculty member of the Center for AI in Radiological Sciences (CAIRS), where he mentors students and leads research on advanced imaging techniques.
