Noppadon Sathitsuksanoh (his colleagues and students call him 'Tik' for short) received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. After completing his Ph.D., Tik joined the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2011 as a postdoctoral fellow in the Physical Bioscience Division. Tik joined the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Louisville in 2015. His group focuses on developing a catalytic toolbox for a circular carbon economy. We convert carbon feedstocks from plant biomass, waste plastics, and carbon dioxide into advanced fuels, biomaterials, and battery components.

Tik has been recognized by the US National Science Foundation (NSF) with a prestigious Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award for innovation in plastic upcycling and by the University of Louisville with the Trailblazer Award for next-generation electrolytes for rechargeable batteries.
