Dr. Nadiia Lypova holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Kyiv, Ukraine. She completed a joint Ph.D. program at Kyiv National University and the O.V. Palladin Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, earning her Ph.D. from V.V. Karazin National University in Kharkiv in 2013. Her doctoral research focused on the isolation and analysis of alternative splice variants of the glycolytic enzymes PFKFB1 and PFKFB2 in both normal and cancerous tissues. Following her Ph.D., Dr. Lypova conducted postdoctoral research on metabolic regulation in lung cancer under the guidance of Dr. Chesney at the University of Louisville, starting in 2014. In 2023, she established her own laboratory within the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Louisville. Dr. Lypova’s research is centered on elucidating the metabolic responses of cancer cells to different therapeutic interventions and understanding the role of metabolic reprogramming in the survival of drug-tolerant cancer cells during chemotherapy.
