Dr. Nasir Fakhri is a vascular neurologist and neuro-interventional specialist with the University of Louisville Department of Neurology, where he currently serves as an Assistant Professor.  

He completed  fellowships in Neuro-Interventional Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, following a Vascular Neurology fellowship at Northwestern University. He trained in Neurology at Brown University, where he was recognized with the Neurology and Neurosciences Clerkship Teaching Award for excellence in medical education.

Dr. Fakhri earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Biophysics from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors. His academic work spans cerebrovascular disease, neurointervention, and translational neuroscience, with multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national conference presentations.
