BIO

Dr. Nelson López is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Louisville (Appointed August 2023) and a scholar of Hispanic Literary Studies (15th–21st C.), Applied Pedagogy, and Performance Studies. He holds a Ph.D. (Spanish Golden Age, UF) and an M.F.A. (Theatre-Directing, VCU). An award-winning educator, his research and teaching merge literary history with Performance Studies and Translation Studies. He was granted Professor Emeritus status by Bellarmine University in 2023 following distinguished service.
