PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Dr. Rachel J. Keith is an Associate Professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, specializing in cardiovascular and environmental health research. She serves as the Director of the Human Subject Service Core at the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute, overseeing studies on environmental impacts on cardiovascular health. Dr. Keith has extensive experience in clinical practice, working as a Nurse Practitioner in Preventive Cardiology and previously in Advanced Heart Failure Care.
Her professional activities include leadership roles on advisory panels such as the AHA Obesity Council (2024-2026) and the Nature and Health Alliance Policy Committee (2023-present). She is also a Standing IRB member at the University of Louisville and a Primary Healthy Medical Advisory Board member.
Dr. Keith has mentored students in public health and medical research and has been actively involved in grant-funded studies, including co-investigator roles in projects like Urban Greenness and Cardiovascular Health and the Green Lungs Study.
