Ramesh Gupta, Ph.D., is a Professor, Duggan Chair and Distinguished University Scholar. His laboratory was the first to recognize the use of bovine milk and colostrum as abundant and biocompatible sources of exosomes for targeted oral delivery of drugs (Munagala et al., 2016, 2021). This technology has received a great deal of attention from both academia and pharmaceutical industry. Most recent development is a non-invasive administration system for targeted brain delivery with effectiveness for brain cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. The technology has multiple U.S. patents issued and filed. Dr. Gupta remains committed to continuing training students and young faculty.
