I completed my undergraduate degrees at Miami University in German (BA) and Health Promotion (BS), during which I studied abroad in Munich, Germany and also completed a global health program in France and Switzerland.  After working in social services programs for the unhoused population in Columbus, OH, I completed a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University.  My professional nursing experience includes high risk obstetrics, labor and delivery, public health nursing and nursing leadership.  I am currently completing my PhD at the University of Louisville with a research focus on social determinants of health and maternal child health.
