Dr. Wylie's background is in cognitive neuroscience and clinical neuropsychology and maintains current appointments in the University of Louisville Neurological Surgery and Sports Medicine departments. His clinical work has focused on diagnosing and characterizing the nature and severity of cognitive deficits that accompany memory disorders, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions, as well as pre-surgical cognitive fitness. His research centers around neurocognitive systems underlying human action selection and control and how these system are impacted by neurological disease and leveraged by elite athletes to accomplish split-second processing decisions in highly dynamic environments.
