SPONSORED PROJECTS

Dr. Miller's  research agenda is rooted in advancing anti-racist and anti-oppressive frameworks within social work education and leadership. She investigates how systemic inequities—particularly anti-Black racism—are embedded in institutional and pedagogical structures, and she develop strategies to disrupt these patterns through curriculum reform, equity-focused leadership, and critical consciousness-raising. Much of of her scholarship is collaborative, applied, and translational, engaging cross-disciplinary partners to address pressing social issues such as racial trauma, health disparities, and educational justice. She is especially interested in the role of social work education in preparing future practitioners and educators to navigate and challenge oppressive systems. Recent research includes exploring AI as a pedagogical tool, utilizing design thinking to cultivate equity in graduate programs, and examining liberatory teaching practices that empower marginalized student populations.
