Dr. Shelbye Schweinhart completed her training at the University of Louisville and joined the faculty as an assistant professor and neonatologist with Norton Children's Medical Group in 2025.  She completed her medical degree at the University of Louisville, during which she obtained a Masters in Business Administration.  She has completed the Intermediate Improvement Science Series course through Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and is actively involved in Quality Improvement work within the Division of Neonatology.  She aspires to teach QI methodology to frontline healthcare workers and lead QI teams toward sustainably improving care for the patients they serve.  Other interests include investigating the cost effectiveness of QI work and advancing equity through QI.
