Dr. Sears is a member of the American Heart Association and American Society of Nephrology. She has served as an ad hoc reviewer for several journals, including Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, American Journal of Physiology–Renal Physiology, and Redox Biology. She has also served as a session chair at several national conferences.
