Stephanie M. Barton, D.O., is a pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist with Norton Children’s Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Barton earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, Blacksburg, Virginia. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Louisville and a fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation with Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Missouri.

Dr. Barton enjoys collaborating with patients and their families to create a unique and tailored plan, ensuring that patients get to participate fully in their rehab care journey. She participates in multidisciplinary clinics such as Spasticity, Cerebral Palsy, and Muscular Dystrophy clinics. She serves those with disabilities and takes pride in advocating for her patients. She is skilled in procedures such as baclofen pump management, botulinum toxin injections, alcohol blocks, and trigger point injections.

Outside of work, Dr. Barton enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two golden retrievers, playing sports and spending time on the lake.
