Dr. Tanner is a sought-after speaker on AI and legal ethics, having delivered keynotes and presentations to bar associations, judicial conferences, and legal organizations across the country. She has been featured in prominent media outlets including Google's Portraits of AI, the Lawyerist Podcast, the Law School Toolbox Podcast, and Spectrum News. Her thought leadership extends through regular contributions to legal publications and participation in national and international conferences including AALS, LSA, LWI, and SEALS.
Professor Tanner currently serves as Chair of the AALS Technology, Law and Legal Education Awards Committee and has held leadership positions on multiple national committees focused on legal writing and technology. She is a peer reviewer for Legal Communication & Rhetoric: JALWD and serves on various faculty committees at Louisville. Her professional service reflects her commitment to advancing the responsible integration of AI in legal education while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
