I am a psychologist, educator, researcher, and academic leader dedicated to advancing educational opportunity, student success, and cultural well-being. I currently serve as Dean and Professor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Louisville, where I lead efforts to strengthen academic excellence, research and innovation, community engagement, and student achievement.

My academic journey began at Tuskegee University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, followed by master's and doctoral degrees in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota. I am also a licensed psychologist and have spent my career working at the intersection of psychology, education, leadership, and social change. [

Before joining the University of Louisville, I served for nearly two decades at the University of Minnesota, progressing from assistant professor to professor and later Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Faculty Development. Throughout my career, I have been committed to building inclusive learning environments, supporting faculty and student development, and strengthening institutions through thoughtful leadership and strategic vision.
