Dr. Tanya Franklin is an Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health physician. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, cum laude, from Bellarmine University in 1999. She went on to receive her MD from the University of Louisville in 2004, while simultaneously earning a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Clinical Investigation. Her residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Women's Health was completed in 2008 at the UofL School of Medicine.

Dr. Franklin was hired at UofL in 2008 and now serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Women's Health. Since 2011, she has served as the Director of the Ryan Residency Training Program for the department. Dr. Franklin also served as the Interim Medical Director for Planned Parenthoof of Kentucky from 2012-2013. She currently hosts a podcast on YouTube called Stethoscope Diaries.
