Thomas W. Salter, DMD, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology (cum laude) from the University of Louisville in 2012. He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (cum laude) at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2016, followed by a General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville Hospital in 2017. Dr. Salter practiced as an associate in Kentucky and southern Indiana before operating Salter Family Dentistry in Jeffersontown from 2019 to 2022. He began teaching part‑time at the UofL School of Dentistry in 2022 and transitioned to full‑time clinical faculty in 2023. He is clinical faculty for the DMD program as well as the Oral Surgery Residency and General Practice Residency.
