BIO

Dr. O'Toole recieved his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Biological Chemistry and has held prior postions at the Scripps Reserach Institure and the Cleveland Clinic. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Division of Environrmantal Medicine. he is a cell biologist/molecular biologist with an interest in cardiovascular toxicology. Using both animal and human models, he is interested in determining how environmental pollutants (PM2.5, volatile organics, mieroplastics) impact cardiovascular health, the mechanisms underlying these effects, and how these adverse outcomes might be mitigated.
