Whitney Goldsberry, M.D. is a gynecologic oncologist with University of Louisville Health.  She has served as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women’s Health at the University of Louisville since 2021. 

Dr. Goldsberry serves as a faculty educator and rotation director for gynecologic oncology.  She

teaches ob/gyn residents and medical students in the operating room, clinics, and hospitals. She has additional certification in robotic surgery and is a leader in training residents in robotic surgery.

Dr. Goldsberry serves as the Resident Research Director.  She also leads the Research Working Group in reviewing research proposals for the Ob/Gyn faculty and residents. 

Dr. Goldsberry has been appointed the Thomas G. Day, Jr., Endowed Chair in Gynecologic Oncology. In addition, she has authored over a dozen publications in peer-reviewed journals and participated on national platforms to discuss various topics of gynecologic cancers.

She is passionate about Women’s Healthcare. She has given several educational lectures in the community on gynecologic cancers and treatments. She has participated in multiple local news segments to discuss gynecologic cancers. Furthermore, she participates in global health by performing gynecologic surgery in Kenya through medical mission work. 

Dr. Goldsberry received a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Louisville in 2010, graduating Summa Cum Laude and as a University Honors Scholar.  She graduated in 2014 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine.  She completed her residency program in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Louisville in 2018 and then went on to complete a 3-year subspecialty fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She returned to the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2021 where she currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Ob/Gyn.
