I am Professor of Surgery at the University of Louisville, a position I have held since 1999. I have been on the clinical staff at the medical school since 1987 and also trained here in general surgery.  I was the program director for the general surgery residency here for over 22 years and continue to mentor students and residents.  I was associate editor of the journal Surgical Infections for over ten years, served on several editorial boards and as peer reviewer for over 30 journals.  I currently have two wound care clinics and a general clinic every week and do operations two days a week.
