Yaser Al-Salmay, M.D. is the Surgical Director of the Living Donor Kidney Program at UofL Health.

Dr. Al-Salmay completed his medical degree at Weill Medical College in Qatar. He completed his general surgery residency training at Hofstra/Northwell Health, where he was the administrative chief resident. He then went on to the University of Chicago to complete an ASTS-accredited fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery. Dr. Al-Salmay is passionate about improving his patients' quality of life while using an evidence-based approach to medicine. Dr. Al-Salmay is affiliated with Trager Transplant Center at UofL Health and UofL Physicians - General Surgery.
