My research has been dedicated to exploring the impact of environmental exposures on cardiovascular health. My primary focus revolves around understanding how inhaled compounds, such as aldehydes and monoterpenes, influence vascular conditions such as hypertension and vascular dysfunction.

• Through rigorous investigations, we have successfully established associations between cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and environmental toxicants, including acrolein, benzene, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
• We have developed comprehensive workflows for Integrated Library-Guided Analysis (ILGA), covering experiment design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Leveraging mass spectrometry (MS) in both targeted and nontargeted approaches, we conduct analyses of the metabolic profiles of diverse parent compounds including aldehydes and monoterpenes.
• My recent studies have expanded to investigate the metabolism and biological activities of monoterpenes and their metabolites. These metabolites not only serve as effective biomarkers for exposure to green environments but also may contribute to the observed antihypertensive effects associated with such exposures.
